What we do when we dont have kids.

We were able to get away a few day without our babies. I was having a hard time accepting that they won't be with us, because only bad mommys get excited... lol. Oh man, did it feel good. I love my babies but everyone once in awhile its great to get away. A group of friends got together and we went camping. We took our oldest, 10 yrs old, so he can have some time away from the crying and stinky diapers of the babies. We had such a great time. Sitting by the camp fire, fighting off killer mosquitos and laughing our happy hearts off. I think we burnt off a few hundred calories with all the laughing we did.
It was a great weekend.. but I was so glad to be home with my babies. To see how happy they were when we walked thru the door was the greatest feeling ever. It'll be a long time before we leave them like that again, but this weekend was worth it all.
Parents.. if you ever think.. OH WE NEED TO GET AWAY, JUST DO IT. ITS RELAXING.

First E.R Visit

I'm a mommy of 3, so I've prepared myself that one of my kids will have me in the E.R. My oldest is 10 and I've been lucky with him, we've only had one injury where he's required stitches but we didn't have to go to the E.R. My youngest is 16 months and I swore it would be him. But we were wrong, so far my daughter is the one that gets hurt the most.
We had our FIRST visit to the E.R, last Wednesday. She was playing with her brothers and her daddy and ended up being the one who was crying in the end. She was running away from "Daddy Monster" and wasn't looking straight forward. When she turned to look straight it was to late, her big brother was in front of her and she pumped smack into his rear end. She bounced off of him and landed on her arm. She cried for a good 30 minutes, no she screamed for a good 30 minutes. She wouldn't straighted her arm out so we new something was up. I called my friend, Monica -who is awesome by the way, to watch my boys while we took Destiny in. We waited for 2 hours in the waiting room. We seen a couple of crazy people come in. One lady, was hit in the face by a man. WOW, he did some damage, it was scary. Another man, looked like he tried to burn off his leg, Ewwe not pretty.
We finally got to the back and after xrays and test on my baby, they splinted her up and made an appt for a couple of days later to find out if it was fractured.
We waited for the time to go by, she handled it all well. She didn't bug about the splint, she used it as a defense weapon against her brothers. One week later, she was able to get out of the splint. Lucky for all of us, it wasn't fractured. Just a bad sprain. My babygirl, was so afraid to use her arm again, but she's slowly adjusting again.
I hope this is our last accident for a long time. I hate E.R waiting rooms and the doctors aren't as hot as they are on T.V.

Birthday Fun

This is a week late, but I'm posting now.

I had the most awesome birthday party ever. The last time I had a big party was for my 15th, my quinceanera. But that party was mostly my moms friends since most of mine couldn't do anything.

Well I turned 30 on April 2nd, and decided to have a party that would take us back into time. I had an 80's party. I dressed up as Punky Brewster, my daughter was a Michael Jackson fan, combed her hair to the side (side ponytail) and scrunched her socks over her pants. Soo cute.

Decorations included some old games like Rockem Sockem Boppers, Wooley Willy and Connect Four. I had a Rainbow Bright snow globe on my table and some My Little Pony's. I hung Cassette tape from the car port (outside party). We had a DJ set up in the garage, strobe light and all. My friends dressed up so crazy, i loved seeing them all. And the best part of a birthday, the cake, was Rainbow Bright. Thanks to all my friends for making this soooo much fun.
